SafeTrade101 needed its transaction platform to move faster without breaking trust. I worked across the stack — tightening API contracts and test coverage while rebuilding the customer-facing UI for the high-stakes moments where money actually moves.

Problem

The platform handled high-value transactions, but the engineering base couldn't prove correctness: sparse test coverage, loosely defined API payloads, and a UI that buckled under real-world device and network conditions. Production incidents were frequent, expensive, and hard to reproduce.

Design & Architecture

I treated reliability as an architecture problem. We defined explicit data contracts between frontend and API, introduced schema validation at the boundary, and designed a responsive interface where confirmation flows, balances, and failure states were unambiguous — because in fintech, a confusing UI is a liability.

Execution

Drove secure REST API integration with typed request/response models, raised automated test coverage around transaction-critical paths, and rebuilt the responsive UI so high-stakes flows worked flawlessly from a phone on a bad connection. Every money-moving action got explicit loading, confirmation, and failure states.

Impact

~20% reduction in production incidents, with transaction-critical paths now covered by automated regression tests instead of hope.
